PocketBuddha is designed to be private by default. Your conversations happen on your device. We don’t read them, sell them, or use them to train models.
When you use PocketBuddha, we collect the minimum needed to keep the service running:
Moments, bookmarks, and conversation history are stored locally in your browser. If you sign in, short summaries may be synced across your devices — but full conversations remain local. You can export or delete all your data at any time from the Moments page.
When using cloud-boosted mode, your messages are sent to our configured AI providers (currently Groq as primary and DeepInfra as backup) to generate responses. These providers have their own privacy policies, and we may update providers over time as reliability changes. We do not send personal identifiers with your messages. In local mode, your conversations never leave your device.
We use essential cookies only — for language preference and session state. No tracking cookies, no third-party advertising cookies.
PocketBuddha is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. We won’t reduce your privacy protections without notice.
If you have questions about how your data is handled, contact hello@pocketbuddha.ai or use our Support page.
